What medications and health supplies should I have on hand while sheltering in place?

While social distancing, keep at least a 30-day supply of any needed prescriptions. If your insurance permits 90-day refills, that's even better. Make sure you also have over-the-counter medications and other health supplies on hand such as:

  • fever and pain medicine
  • cough and cold medicines
  • antidiarrheal medication
  • thermometer
  • fluids with electrolytes such as coconut water, electrolyte-infused water or smoothies filled with electrolyte-rich fruits and vegetables
  • soap and alcohol-based hand sanitizer
  • tissues, toilet paper, disposable diapers, tampons, sanitary napkins
  • garbage bags

Continue to practice everyday preventive actions like washing your hands and social distancing.
